Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Honda Odyssey- Video
Today on our 2015 Honda Odyssey, we're doing a test fit of the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier. It is 23 by 47 and has weight capacity of 450 lbs., that part number is M2205. Now, first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Our ground clearance's first, we've got about 19 inches of clearance there. Overall to the back of the vehicle, we're adding about 32 inches and our closest point is going to be on our rear shank here, we're going to be about 2 and 1/2 inches away there. We've got that piece in the way there. Now, with our Odyssey and our cargo carrier on here, we have a single passenger side exhaust. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Honda CR-V mt70106- Video
Today on our 2015 Honda CRV we're going to be doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 30x50 wheelchair carrier with a 48-inch pivoting ramp. This is going to be part number MT70106. It's going to have a sturdy steel construction, offering a 500-pound weight capacity with it's nice expanded metal base for easy clean-ability. This is going to be perfect for your motorized scooters or wheelchairs. And when you don't have it in use, it's going to tuck up against the back side of the vehicle, with its nice folding shank. Note that it does come with a 2-inch shank for your 2-inch receivers only, as well as that anti-tilt rattle device, which is going to make it nice and sturdy on the back of the vehicle, as you can see there. Today on our 2015 Honda CR-V, we're testing the Curt 20 by 60 folding cargo carrier. It's been designed for use with humans yet it's going to offer us a 500 pound weight capacity. Part number is C18151. As you can see, we've got a nice sturdy cargo carrier here. It's got the expanded steel style floor so that dirt and debris will fall right down through. It's a stamped out expanded steel so we don't have those sharper edges so they'll kind of hold onto things. more

Today on our 2015 Honda CRV, we're test fitting the Curt 20 by 16 cargo carry. Now this has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches, carries up to 500 pounds. The part number on it is Z18150. Now as you can see the Curt is a nice, solid cargo carry. It's going to have that expanded steel style floor. It doesn't have the sharp edges on it like we get out of the standard expanded steel, but it's still going to give us plenty of open areas for dirt and debris and stuff like that to fall down and out. We've got about a 5 1/2 inch raised rail all the way around the outside, giving this good front to back and side to side stability while offering good connection points for any cable or ... more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2015 Honda CRV, we're testing the Stromberg-Carlson 23x60 cargo carrier. They designed to use this with a 2" hitch. It offers a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number is CCS100. You see with our cargo carrier, we're going to have some movement, we're going to have some play while we're heading down the road. Today on our 2015 Honda CR-V, we're test fitting Let's Go Aero Gear Cage. This is a 32 by 48 cargo carrier. It's been designed for use in a 2" hitches. It's coming offered with a capacity of 300lbs. Part number on it is HCR222. One of the things I immediately notice about the Gear Cage is how nice and how solid it is on the rear of the vehicle. It really doesn't move if the car doesn't. more

SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Honda CR-V- Video
Today on our 2013 Honda CRV, we're going to be doing a test of the 20" by 60" SportRack Vista cargo carrier, this is the folding version. Part number on it is SR9851. This has been designed for use in 2" hitches, it gives us a 500lb weight capacity. As you can see we've got 100lbs loaded on here. It's a nice stiff, solid feeling cargo carrier that's going to be provided with an anti-rattle bolt, just threads in the side there, uses a 19mm wrench. Really secures it as opposed to some of the pin and clip style connections that you see where they can be really bouncy moving. Clear this off here you can take a look at the expanded steel that we've got there is the base or the floor. more

SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Honda Odyssey sr9849- Video
Today on our 2008 Honda odyssey we'll be doing a test fit of the 20" by 60" SportRack Vista cargo carrier. Is going to have that solid or sturdy steel construction with a 500 pound weight capacity and that nice expanded metal base for easy cleanability. It's also going to come with a 2" shank for your 2" receivers, and an anti-rattle bolt to help reduce a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have. It's going to be part number SR9849. First off let's start by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement from the front side of the rack to the backside of the bumper at about 7-3/8". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack at about 28-3/4", ground clearance at about 14-1/4". Now our exhaust, although it will not make contact with our rack because it does exit downwards straight back from the vehicle so it will most likely go underneath and pass underneath, we'll go ahead and give that measurement anyway in case you're going to be carrying anything that's going to be heat-sensitive or perishable. more

Looks like it's going to be about six and a half inches from the back side of the bumper to the front side of the rack. Overall distance that we've added to our vehicle from the back side of the bumper to the back side of the rack at about forty and one-half inches. more

First thing we'll do is insert that shank in to our receiver, we'll slide it in and line up our pinholes. Once you have your pinholes lined up insert your hitch pin and clip. Then we'll get a few measurements starting with our closest distance first, and with our rack in the stowed position like this, it's going to be from the front of the rack to the backside of the bumper and that distance is going to be about 7 inches. more

Today on our 2015 Honda Fit, we're going to be doing a test fit of the twenty by forty-eight surco cargo carrier for your inch and a quarter receivers. First thing we'll do is insert the shank into the receiver and line up the pinholes. With our pinholes lined up, let's insert our hitch pin and clip. Now its dimensions are 24x60, has a max capacity of 500 pounds and it's for 2 inch hitches only. We can go ahead and start by loading our shank into our receiver. We'll go ahead and line our pin holes up and once we get those lined up we'll go ahead and take our pin and clip. This carrier does not come with a pin and clip, you can find it on our website at etrailer.com, part number PC3. We can go ahead and take a few measurements. Starting with our nearest point its like it's going to be right here, that's going to be about 5 inches away from our bumper. more
